Skill Building (Intermediate Rifle/Pistol)

This 3-hour block will be focused on several aspects of pistol/rifle fundamentals and shooting. Our goal is to help build and strengthen the individual shooters foundation to help make those fundamentals solid so that during a critical incident they can focus more on the problem and less on working their firearm. This is NOT a new shooter class, it is an intermediate class and students attending are expected to have a working understanding of the basics and safety.

Objectives:

• Speeding up the draw from the holster
• Recoil management and off set
• Rifle / pistol transition
• moving to static shooting

Required gear:

• Minimum of 200 rounds Rifle / 100 rounds Pistol
• Rifle & Pistol
• Holster (NO SERPA/ must have positive retention and retain shape)
• 2 magazines (3 recommended) mag carriers for rifle/pistol mags
• ear/eye protection
