About the event

 

8 hour pistol course structed to build on your shooting fundamentals pertaining to red dot sights. This course will work you through several areas intended to enhance your skill set beyond the basics. This is not a basic pistol course and it will require you to be active and move into several positions to include kneeling, squatting, and prone. 

 

Objectives:

  • Pistol Fundamentals specific to red dot sights
  • One handed shooting 
  • Positional shooting
  • Working through optic related malfunctions
  • Injured shooter drills
  • Stress drills
  • Qualification

Required gear:

  • Mid / full size handgun with a red dot optic
  • 3 magazines
  • Outside the waistband holster or duty belt and mag holders 
  • 600 rounds of your pistol ammunition 
  • Lunch / hydration
  • Sunscreen / hat / bug spray 
  • knee pads 
  • eye protection / ear protection / mask
