About the event
This will be an 8 hour pistol course with a heavy focus on the fundamentals. The goal is to get students to identify their individual deficiencies in order to isolate their weaknesses and improve their shooting ability.
Objectives:
- Overview and drilling of pistol fundamentals
- Drawing from the holster
- One handed shooting
- Proper use of cover
- Moving and shooting VS movement to static shooting
- Qualification
Required equipment:
- Pistol with 2-3 magazines
- holster (NO SERPA, foam, or leather holsters) must have positive retention such as kydex or safariland
- eye and ear protection
- Minimum 500 rounds however more are recommended
- food/hydration/sun screen/ bug spray recommended
